In the discovery phase, I’ll collect relevant information about your company and your project. I’m interested in learning about your goals, personality, and who your target audience is. I’ll do some research on your industry and take a look at what your closest competitors up to. If you are creating a new identity from scratch I often provide a questionnaire to learn about your goals and objectives. Information collected during this phase sets the tone for the next steps.
Here’s where design concepts are visualized. We put pencil to paper (or the mouse to the pad) and we will work up several creative mock-ups for you that will be well thought-out solutions to your design agendas. If you already established a brand and have some marketing materials, I can easily get a sense of context for your new project. We will search out options that make the most sense and are a good fit for your specific needs.
In the refinement stage you will be able to choose from amongst the various design concepts that have been presented to you. You will have the opportunity to pick out your favorite idea or ideas for us to focus all of our attention on. After you choose your favorite design we will then go to work on refining the design through a series of iterations until it fits your vision just right.
After you have approved the final design, we will then create the final artwork files. We will give you the option to pick up the files with a USB device or we can deliver them to you and/or your print vendor via email or FTP. If needed, we can contact the printing companies for quotes and manage the printing process for you. We also have several great choices for good quality printing that we use on a regular basis.
If you have a design project in mind, let me know and I’ll be happy to give you a quote.
